One Thing to Try: Have More Energy in Less Than 24 hours

one thing to try:

drink more water

add fresh-cut lemon slices for better flavor :D

Yeah, yeah, I know you probably hear people left and right telling you to drink more water, but just bear with me here, okay?

For the longest time I had almost zero energy all day. I'm not a very big coffee drinker, so I never really fell back on coffee when I needed a pick-me-up, so most of the time I just didn't really know what to do to get more energy.

I would wake up tired, get extra tired around midmorning, eat lunch, get hit by the afternoon slump and feel tired again, workout, feel like I have a little bit of energy, go home, have less energy, eat dinner, get tired again, fall asleep, wake up & repeat.

I just didn't know what to do.

Naps were out of the picture because I had a tight schedule and from past experiences, taking a nap would just directly lead to me wanting to take another one.

So what did I do? Well, for a while, nothing. Until I was tlaking to one of my friends and they brought up the topic and then they asked me, "Are you drinking enough water?" And I was like, "Well, I mean, I'm drinking *some* water but I don't know."

That's when she looked at me and said, "Just bring a water bottle around with you everywhere and drink a shit ton of water. It works."

And seeing as she was the friend that always had a suspicously large amount of energy (you know the one?), I decided to try it.

So I filled my water bottle, added some sliced lemons for a detoxifying flavor boost, and BAM!

It actually wasn't a bam, but boy, did it work! My mind became clearer, I started becoming more alert, I felt healthier and I definitely felt more energized than before. Who knew, right?

So if you haven't given drinking enough plain old water a try, why not try it? You've got nothing to lose. So grab a cup, fill it up, and chug yourself to more energy.
